Judge Sharon Burrell ruled there was insufficient evidence for a conviction

Montgomery County Public Schools then reassigned Winter to a temporary assistant principal role at Rock Creek Valley Elementary

Parents at the new school started a petition against his assignment and gathered 639 signatures

Winter resigned from the Rock Creek Valley Elementary position on Thursday
