Nashville police officers Rex Englebert and Michael Collazo are the heroes who killed Audrey Hale during the massacre at a Christian school. Hale, a biological woman who identified as a man, was shot and killed by Collazo and Englebert as she carried out the attack that killed three children and three adults.
The Nashville police department released the bodycam footage from one ofn the officers. You can see it below. The department also released some video of the shooter stalking the halls of the school.
Nashville Police Department said: “MNPD Officers Rex Engelbert, a 4-year veteran, and Michael Collazo, a 9-year veteran, were part of a team of first responders to the Covenant campus Mon morning. They fired on the active shooter, who was killed. This is their body camera footage.
The police described what happened:
“The first call to 911 about shots being fired in the building came in at 10:13 a.m. Officers rushed to the campus, made entry and began clearing the building.
“Shots were heard coming from the second level.
“It was on the second floor, in a common area, that a team of officers encountered Hale shooting (she had been firing through a window at arriving police cars).
“Two members of an officer team fired on Hale and fatally wounded her.
“Those two officers are Officer Rex Englebert, a four-year MNPD veteran, and Officer Michael Collazo, a nine-year MNPD veteran.”
Country music superstar John Rich said:
“These two young @MNPDNashville officers are legitimate heroes for running straight at the murderer in Nashville yesterday.
“There’s no telling how many lives they saved.
“This is textbook precision on how to handle an active shooter, and we are grateful for their bravery.”
