Rep. Nancy Pelosi went on MSNBC and gave an awkward compliment to supporters of former President Donald Trump. She complimented Trump supporter’s patriotism before slamming ‘some of them.’
Joy Reid asked Pelosi to “Give some advice to those who are frustrated by our politics now…to vote not on how politics will impact your religion, but how it will impact your life. You’re a religious person.”
Pelosi answered with a quote from John F. Kennedy, the first Catholic President of the United States: “It’s not important what religion I believe in. What’s important is what America I believe in.”
Pelosi continued: “And that’s what we have to be thinking in terms of talking it to people.”
Nancy then issued her awkward compliment to Trump supporters.
She said:
“I do think that many of the people who fell for what’s-his-name’s line, because they just didn’t see a path in the future, in the economy the way it was.
“I think many of them are really patriotic.
“I think some of them are racist and bigots, but I think many of them are very patriotic.”
She said of Joe Biden:
“Just a remarkable president, a great leader, visionary, strategic, knowledgeable, heart-to-heart, empathetic president.”
Just 16% of Americans say they’re better off under Biden, but Nancy Pelosi thinks he’s “just a remarkable president, a great leader, visionary, strategic, knowledgeable, heart-to-heart, empathetic president.” pic.twitter.com/5V1Cyt5T5N

While Republicans say that there’s nothing we can do about mass shootings, Democrats have a plan to protect America’s children: reinstate the assault weapons ban.
