Hollywood legend James Woods made a heartfelt statement about Jamie Foxx after Foxx’s friends asked the public to pray for Jamie as he recovers in an Atlanta hospital. Jamie was in Atlanta working on the movie “Back In Action” earlier this month when he collapsed.
Foxx’s friend, Charles E. Alston, said: “I need you all to constantly keep our beloved brotha Jamie Foxx up whom we all love & care for dearly in our Hearts, Minds & Prayers. We need you back Bro. As I always state a true champion isn’t the one that wins, it’s the one that meets & overcomes adversity.
“You’re test becomes your testimony. We all can’t wait to receive you back home to celebrate, laugh with and applaud you. I come before you yet once again humbly asking please heal & restore our brotha Jamie Foxx stronger & better than before.
“I have absolutely no shame in asking pleading & begging for your merciful healing powers over our brotha now in your time not ours for miracle. I must & will thank you in advance your gracious humble servant.”
James Woods said: “We all know how brilliant Jamie Foxx is as an actor. My experience was how amazing he could be as a colleague.
“When we were shooting White House Down, I had a neck injury during a stunt thing.
“A few weeks later Jamie and I had a protracted fight scene filmed over several days.
“I asked him to be careful and he went beyond. It was like ballet!
“He protected me at every turn, while making it look like total mayhem.
“He put my well-being over every other consideration.
“I had always greatly admired him as an artist, of course, but I was honored to know him for the kind and caring man he is.”
TMZ reported that Foxx’s emergency was serious enough that his family flew in from out of town to visit with him at the hospital.
One source said ominously: “He’s communicating now, and that’s good news.”
Jaime’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, confirmed TMZ’s reporting on Instagram.She said he suffered an unknown ‘medical complication’ and that the family appreciated all the prayers. She said:

“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers.
“The family asked for privacy during this time.
“Much love, The Foxx Family.”
