Al Sharpton Grabs Spotlight, Will Deliver Eulogy At Jordan Neely’s Funeral

Al Sharpton never misses a chance to grab the spotlight and will give the eulogy for Jordan Neely, the deranged ex-con who was abandoned by his family to terrorize the streets of New York.

Until a young Marine, Daniel Penny, and two others stepped in to stop Neeely from threatening a passenger on a New York subway car. Neely died, clearly not what Penny intended but Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg charged him with manslaughter anyway.

This despite a video showing Penny putting Neely in the recovery position. Rev. Johnnie Melvin Green Jr., said Neely’s family, the same people who left him to the streets despite his mental condition, asked for Sharpton to give the speech.

“As we face sorrow, pain, and uncertainty in the wake of Jordan’s senseless killing, it is crucial that we come together in the spirit of healing, action, and perseverance,” Green said.

“I can think of no one better, no one more equipped to meet this moment with that grace and guidance than Rev. Sharpton,” he said.

If Neely’s family cared about Jordan when he was alive he would be alive today.

Neely had ver 40 arrests on his record. In 2021 Neely was arrested for punching a 67-year-old female in the face as she left a subway station.

Sharpton said earlier: “If you do not prosecute you will set a standard of vigilantism that we cannot tolerate. The precedent alone is a threat to all of us. We cannot allow this lawlessness to go unchecked.

“You’re not going to choke this young man to death and not let us stand up and raise our voices.

“From a civil rights point of view, we are petitioning that the choker and the two folks helping him are all brought before a grand jury.”

“A mental issue on a train is not to be sentenced to death. This man needs to be prosecuted.”

“Penny does not have the right to set precedent, where you become judge, jury and executioner.”

Penny’s lawyer said:

“When Mr. Neely began aggressively threatening Daniel Penny and the other passengers, Daniel, with the help of others, acted to protect themselves, until help arrived.

“Daniel never intended to harm Mr. Neely and could not have foreseen his untimely death.”

Penny’s Givesendgo has raised $2,598,639
