Jim Caviezel, one of the rare vocal Christians in Hollywood, said Disney wanted him to remove references to God and Christianity during the filing of his hit movie the ‘Count of Monte Cristo’
The “Passion of the Christ” star, “They wanted me to remove ‘God’ from all the script. True story … what happened to God? ‘God will give me justice,’” Caviezel said quoting the book.
“I had to say, ‘No, I can’t do this,’” he said he told Disney and the response from the executives was typical Hollywood.
“Disney said, ‘Oh, so you’re one of those?’” he said.
“I said, ‘One of those what? One of those who rewrite Alexandre Dumas?
“One of those who rewrite Shakespeare?
“Because that’s essentially what you did.’
“So I held my ground, and by God, they backed off.
“We’ve got to be strong Christians like that.
‘To hold the ground when you have to, to say, ‘we’re not buying that product anymore.’”
He also mocked the mainstream media for telling lies upon lies upon lies.
