An Arizona woman turned the tables on a registered sex offender when the creep tried to break into her home the Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed.
Around 2 p.m. near Garvey and Pyle Roads, investigators say 42-year-old Jayson Magrum tried to break into a 54-year-old woman’s home. The woman was home alone and caught him in the act.
She yelled at him letting him know he was busted in hopes of getting him to leave but he did not stop. He kept coming. She grabbed her gun and fired a warning shot out the window to scare off the thug showing grace under pressure many would not.
But that didn’t stop him. In fact, it made him more aggressive.
“The female armed herself with a handgun and fired a shot out of a window to attempt to scare the male away,” the sheriff’s department said.
Magrum then reached inside the home and tried to take the gun away from the woman. Big mistake and the last one this guy ever made.
The woman, reacting to the raised threat, opened fire and shot Magrum.
He collapsed in the driveway and died at the scene.
Magrum was convicted in Utah of attempted forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony.
According to the Arizona Department of Corrections, Magrum was also convicted of aggravated domestic violence in Pima County in 2014.
He was sentenced to six months in prison.
The world is a better place now. I wish her well.
