NASHVILLE, Tenn.–The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) has arrested a suspected bank robber suspected in the robbery of U.S. Community Credit Union in Hermitage.
Police say a tip led to the arrest of 35-year-old Alamin Shakur at a motel on Trinity Lane on Thursday. The 35-year-old has previous robbery convictions and is now being held on $100,000 bond for the current robbery accusations.
Shakur was identified as a suspect in last Friday’s U.S. Community Credit Union robbery on Hermitage Avenue. Detectives say Shakur was dropped off at the credit union by and Uber and was picked up by an Uber. Shakur used an account he owns for the transportation.
