Failed Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot refused to say the word mayhem when asked about the riots that took over Chicago for three nights last week. She said: “I’m not going to use your language, which I think is wrong, to say it was ‘mayhem.
“The vast majority of the young people who came downtown came downtown because it was great weather and an opportunity to enjoy the city. That’s absolutely and entirely it. There are a few that came with different intentions. They have and they will be dealt with.
“The young people have an opportunity and a right to enjoy the entirety of our city but they have to do it in a way that is respectful of people and property.”
South Side Alderperson Pat Dowell overruled Lightfoot: “The mayhem happening downtown and at the 31st St. Beach is appalling.
“No other community abdicates parental responsibility for their children.
“None. Until parents collectively take back control of their homes – nothing will change.”
Chicago alderwoman Jeanette Taylor said:
“You can go to jail if you whoop your children, some of them could use a good a– whooping. Sorry they could.
“I don’t justify this behavior, but think about this: would they be downtown if they have things in their own community?”
A shocking video surfaced that showed a woman getting brutally beaten during the mayhem further embarrassing Lightfoot.

“We’re so scared right now. We don’t want to step out of the house.”
