Chicago Carjacking Caught On Video As City Succumbs To A Wave Of Violence

A carjacking was caught on video in Chicago as crime continues to be out of control in that great midwestern city. But it won’t be great for much longer if they don’t start locking people up.

In the video below a man is carjacked by 2 carloads of armed men near Wabansia and Western on September 2, 2023.

The man was boxed in by the two cars and was forced to the ground by the armed men as they proceeded to take his car and his belongings. Chicago’s new Mayor Brandon Johnson has made excuses for the criminals calling them kids doing stupid stuff.

According to Fox News:

The Democrat-run city, led by former Mayor Lori Lightfoot before her successor Brandon Johnson won the mayoral election in 2023, has succumbed to a wave of violence and criminal activity.

Dozens of people, including a 6-year-old, were shot in Chicago over Labor Day weekend. The violent shootings also included a 13-year-old, who was shot in the head, and two 15-year-old teens were among six killed in separate incidents.

According to CWB Chicago, 8 people were robbed in 30 minutes during the crime spree:

Chicago police are investigating five armed robberies that occurred in under an hour Friday afternoon in Wicker Park, Logan Square, and nearby neighborhoods.

The spree began around 12:40 p.m. near Damen and Cortez in West Town. A man told police that two offenders displayed guns during a robbery attempt, then fled in a black vehicle, possibly a Toyota.

He described them as Black males between 17 and 23 years old. The younger one, who pointed a gun at the victim’s head, wore a blue mask and a black hoodie.

Then, just before 1 p.m., two robbers exited a black sedan with a broken side window to rob another man in the 1300 block of North Hoyne.

At about the same time, two masked men exited a small charcoal-colored sedan to rob three people in the 1700 block of North Troy. The gunmen escaped with cash and wallets.

Another robbery occurred around 1 p.m. in the 3400 block of West Cortland. Two men armed with at least one firearm robbed an Uber driver and another victim on the street, according to a report.
