Donald Trump Jr. said that his contacts at Fox News, where he used to be appear often but hasn’t in over six months, told him to “expect retaliation” over his support of star host and ratings monster Tucker Carlson.
Trump Jr: “Have heard from a few of my friends at Fox News that the leftist executives running things there are pissed at me for calling them out over firing Tucker and to “expect retaliation.” A lot of good people still work at Fox, but their RINO leadership is at war with conservatives!”
“Fox News leaking to the left-wing New York Times to smear Tucker Carlson isn’t just an attack on Tucker, it’s an attack on all of his fans and conservatives everywhere!”
A Twitter user said: “I told a friend that FoxNews is a net good and don’t want them to fail. Lots of good hosts like Waters, Gutfield, and many great reporters like Trey, Doocey, etc.
“We should want the network to succeed. But executives seem to be on a mission to destroy FoxNews from within.”

“Rhetoric and ideology aside, I’m genuinely curious about the business considerations that went into Fox’s decision.
“Does anyone expect this to ultimately be a plus for the Fox bottom line? Has management abandoned its fiduciary duty?”

The Fox Corporation’s board, comprised of eight members, including Paul Ryan and two Murdoch family members, was reportedly involved in Tucker Carlson’s ouster.
One day before the Dominion trial was set to begin and before Carlson’s ouster, Fox’s board of directors reviewed previously disclosed text messages sent by Carlson to his producer that caused the board to hatch a plan to hire a law firm to investigate Carlson, two sources told New York Times.
“It remains unclear how the text escaped more notice earlier, given that the Fox legal team was aware of it and other offensive texts written by Mr. Carlson,” the Times reported.
“Mr. Carlson had even been asked about it during a deposition, according to several people who have read the unredacted transcripts of his deposition.”
