Donald Trump has hit out at being denied the opportunity to travel to Scotland due to his ongoing legal troubles. The former US president wanted to be at his Aberdeen Trump International Golf Links course where the Staysure Senior PGA Championship was being held.
But the billionaire, 77, took to social media, revealing he could not attend the event because of his ongoing legal situation. Trump is facing election interference charges in the US and handed himself in to police on Thursday night.
Posting on his Truth Social account, Trump claimed “lunatics” stopped him from going.
He posted: “I have the Staysure Senior PGA Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland, on my great course, and I can’t go. I have to stay around and fight off the Crazed Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, Marxists, and Fascists.”
Trump’s scowling mugshot was released after he was booked at the Fulton County jail in Atlanta. It is the first-ever mugshot of a former US President – which was turned into memes after it went viral on social media.
