Fox News host Sean Hannity is set to conduct a joint interview with President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, the billionaire who heads up a nongovernmental agency tasked by the current administration with slashing the federal government, Mediaite has learned.
Fox News is expected to announce the interview on Friday.
At Trump’s direction, Musk has led a sweeping and controversial review of a sweeping set of federal agencies. Their moves so far have sparked controversy — and criticism that Musk and his staffers are the same “unelected bureaucrats” influencing the US government that Republican leaders have warned their constituents about for years.
The interview, which will be pre-taped, will take place in the White House and will air on Tuesday night on Hannity. Mediaite understands the focus of the discussion will be on DOGE, the first 100 days of the Trump administration, and other news of the day. This will mark President Trump and Musk’s first joint television interview.
Hannity also landed the first interview with Trump of his second term as president. The Fox News host, a longtime ratings powerhouse for the network and radio titan, questioned Trump on policy plans from handling TikTok to presidential pardons.
According to an insider familiar with the booking, the interview was scheduled before the joint Oval Office press event on Tuesday featuring Trump and Musk.
