Geraldo Rivera is out at Fox News. He went on social media to say: “Bumpy day on the North Atlantic. Anyway, I got fired from @TheFive so I quit Fox.
“After 23 years tomorrow Fox and Friends could be my last appearance on the network. Thanks for the memories.”
Geraldo said when he was fired from The Five: “Morning, it’s official, I’m off The Five. My last scheduled show appearances are Thursday and Friday, June 29th and 30th. It’s been a great run and I appreciate having had the opportunity.
“Being odd man out isn’t always easy. For the time being, I’m still Correspondent at Large.”
The feud between Geraldo and Gutfeld started days after Tucker Carlson was fired by Fox News.
Geraldo said:
“I don’t wish ill on anybody, but there is no doubt as I said at the time-Tucker Carlson’s perverse January 6 conspiracy theory was bullshit.
“Having lost the election President Trump incited an insurrection that sought to undermine our Constitutional process.”
Gutfeld quickly put Geraldo in his place.
He said: “You’re a class act Geraldo.
“A real man of the people.”
Days later Geraldo said:
“My appearances today and tomorrow on The Five have been canceled. I’m sure there’s a good reason. Never fear, I’ll be back week after next. Stay safe and happy. Thanks.”
The President of News Cycle Media, Jon Nicosia, believes Geraldo is finished on The Five and his days may be numbered at Fox News.
He said:
“Word is you are off for good.
“After “destroying the chemistry with recent Tweets.”
