Fox News anchor Kayleigh McEnany is getting a shot as part of the rotating cast of hosts seeking to replace star host Tucker Carlson. Fox News’ ratings have tanked across the board since the shocking firing of the top-rated host.
So Fox is trying out different hosts in that all-important primetime slot hoping to find one to stop the bleeding. Pete Hegseth, Jesse Watters, and Kayleigh have been rumored to be getting serious consideration for the job. Tucker’s shoes will not be easy to fill.
The time slot has been hosted by anchors Brian Kilmeade and Lawrence Jones so far. But for the week of May 8 to May 12, it will be Kayleigh’s hour. She said:
“I am honored to share that I will be hosting Fox News Tonight at 8 pm ET all next week (5/8-5/12)!
“Set your DVR.
“Please join me next week as we dig into the state of politics, media, culture, and faith in America!”
McEnany co-hosts Fox’s midday show Outnumbered.
She delivers the ratings for Fox often beating her network talk show competition, including Goor Morning America 3 and Today w/ Hoda & Jenna.
McEnany got some good career news on another front today as well.
She published a new book and it is already number 1.
Her book, “Serenity in the Storm: Living through Chaos by Leaning on Christ,” soared to number one on Amazon’s list of political commentary and opinion books a few days after its release.
