Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) overruled Speaker Kevin McCarthy and other members of the GOP leadership and announced today that she would offer her articles of impeachment against FBI Director Christopher Wray as a privileged resolution.
This will force a vote on the issue. Greene’s announcement comes after Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) moved to force a vote on Biden’s impeachment by offering her articles as a privileged resolution.
Greene said: “Christopher Wray spit in our faces and disrespected our Oversight Committee and our Chairman Comer by forcing us to see redacted versions of UNCLASSIFIED 1023 forms that gave proof of then VP Joe Biden taking a $5 million dollar bribe.
“I’m turning my Articles of Impeachment on Wray into a privileged resolution.
“Wray is a bad cop hiding Joe Biden’s crimes and must be held accountable.
“I won’t tolerate this level of disrespect and pure criminal corruption.”
Greene said earlier:
“Not only has Director Wray persecuted political opponents in an unprecedented and partisan way, but he has also overseen his agency take actions to shield and protect the current President and his family.
“A senior FBI official left the agency under a cloud of accusations that he shielded a laptop belonging to the President’s son, Robert Hunter Biden, from a criminal probe.
“It is unacceptable for the Director of the FBI or any civil officer to exercise his power in a way that targets one political class while doing favors for the other.”
Boebert said yesterday:
“I am bringing my articles of impeachment against Joe Biden to the House Floor in a privileged motion, meaning that every Member of Congress must vote on holding Joe Biden accountable.
Matt Gaetz said:” Lauren Boebert offering Articles of Impeachment on the House Floor right now.
“This will force a vote.
“Where does your representative stand?”
