Maye Musk overruled her billionaire son and announced on Twitter the highly anticipated cage fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg is canceled.
Maye Musk announced on Twitter the fight between her son Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg when she replied to Mario Nawfal who admitted he accidentally caused the setup of the cage fight on Twitter:
Maye said: “And now the fight has been canceled. Great relief!” She added later, “Actually, I canceled the fight. I haven’t told them yet. But I will continue to say the fight is canceled, just in case…”
Elon replied with laughter at his mother’s tweet.
Earlier Zuckerberg accepted Musk’s offer to cage fight (MMA). Musk may have been joking but Mark is not as he has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the Meta boss just won a tournament.
Zuckerberg is launching a Twitter competitor which sparked the back and forth.
Meta’s chief product officer Chris Cox told employees the company thinks people want a version of Twitter that is “sanely run. While Zuckerberg said during a recent podcast interview with Lex Fridman:
“I’ve always thought that Twitter should have a billion people using it.”
This caused Elon Musk to say he would be “up for a cage fight” with Zuckerberg.
Mark fired back by posting a screenshot of Musk’s tweet with the caption “send me location.”
A reporter, Alex Heath, then confirmed that Zuckerberg’s post was not a joke. “The story speaks for itself,” Meta spokesperson Iska Saric told him..
Musk responded with two words: “Vegas Octagon.”
He added, “I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus,’ where I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing.”
Musk is much bigger than Zuckerberg but Mark has been training and a little guy who knows what he is doing could easily bring the pain to Elon.
