Former President Barack Obama is cashing in with some lucrative speaking engagements in Australia. In the most recent high-paid gig, Obama tried to blame former President Donald Trump for the rise of China.
Obama was talking with former Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop to a packed fawning house. Obama at one point said Chinese leader Xi Jinping has a “forceful and confident” demeanor before blaming Trump for the rise of China Obama turned a blind eye too as did Bush and Clinton.
Obama said China began to change “once I left office” in 2017. He said: “With my successor coming in, I think he saw an opportunity because the U.S. president didn’t seem to care that much about a rules-based international system.
“And so as a consequence, I think China’s attitude as well, we can take advantage of what appears to be a vacuum internationally on a lot of these issues.”
Of course, Obama knows darn well the problem was China was abusing the ‘rules-based international system’ we let them in.
And were too greedy to kick them out. Trump changed the game by calling our leaders, not by blaming China but by blaming our past leaders.
Trump won because he told the truth to the American public, that helping China become our only real threat for cheap televisions was a foreign policy mistake that will go down in the history books.
It was Clinton, Bush, Biden, Hillary, Pelosi, McConnell, etc who led that doomed effort.
It was Trump who changed the direction.
Has Biden removed Trump’s China tariffs? No, he has not. Why? Because they work.
“They took advantage of us for many, many years,” Trump said in 2019.
“And I blame us, I don’t blame them.
“I don’t blame President Xi. I blame all of our presidents, and not just President Obama.
“You go back a long way.
“You look at President Clinton, Bush — everybody.
“They allowed this to happen, they created a monster.
“We rebuilt China because they get so much money,” he said.
