A San Jose man who went viral for keying a Tesla has been arrested and slapped with a felony vandalism charge, police announced today.
The suspect, whose reckless act was caught on camera, thought he could get away with damaging someone else’s property—but technology had other plans. Tesla’s built-in Sentry Mode surveillance system recorded the entire incident, providing crystal-clear evidence that led to his arrest.
San Jose Police Chief issued a stern warning following the arrest:
“This senseless crime and its subsequent consequences should serve as a clear reminder: no matter one’s personal beliefs or frustrations, they do not justify illegal actions.”
