Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi has announced that an arrest has been made in connection with the violent attack on a Tesla showroom. The suspect was taken into custody after allegedly hurling a Molotov cocktail into the facility, an act that Bondi says will carry severe consequences.
“They’re looking at up to 20 years in prison,” Bondi stated.
In a strong warning to potential future offenders, she added, “If you’re gonna touch a Tesla, go to a dealership, do anything, you better watch out, because we’re coming after you.”
The attack on Tesla showrooms comes amid increasing tensions surrounding the company, as pro-Palestinian and far-left protesters have targeted the electric vehicle manufacturer due to CEO Elon Musk’s stance on various political issues.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the suspect, but sources indicate that federal prosecutors are pushing for the harshest penalties under domestic terrorism laws.
