A Connecticut man in Rocky Hill, a suburb of Hartford, turned the tables on a pack of crooks and fought off four would-be car thieves in his driveway. (See Video Below)
The Rocky Hill Police said: “On Monday, April 10, 2023 at approximately 7:02 P.M., a robbery occurred on Valley View Drive. A previous news release was provided to media outlets and the public on April 11, 2023.
“The incident was recorded on the homeowner’s surveillance camera. The surveillance video is being released in an attempt to identify the suspects.
“The depiction of the video and its audio may be upsetting or disturbing to some viewers.
“This incident is still being investigated by the Rocky Hill Police Department Detective Division.
“If anyone has any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective Matthew Seguin.”
Rocky Hill Police Sgt. Jeffrey Foss-Rugan said: “Thank God that he wasn’t seriously hurt.
“We’re seeing a lot of these incidents throughout the state and the country that people are intervening, and the suspect may have a weapon.
“We have a lot of tools at our disposal that we could try to follow up to try to locate these suspects.
“I know it’s very difficult when you see people break into your cars.
“We’ve got to keep our garages locked.
“We have to keep the doors locked.
“We have to keep the valuables out of the car,” Foss-Rugan added.
“It’s so close to home. It’s really frustrating,” a neighbor said.
Another neighbor said:
“In the past, we’ve had our car broken into in our driveway several times, that is just such a violation.”
