Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk is once again calling out the U.S. government, this time over its alleged financial support of the Taliban. In a fiery statement, Musk declared that “the average taxpaying American should be MAD AS HELL!” after reports surfaced of U.S. funds making their way into the hands of the extremist group.
“We’re giving money to the Taliban. A LOT! I want to see pictures of what they do with it!” Musk wrote, demanding transparency and accountability for how taxpayer dollars are being used.
The claim has sparked widespread outrage, with many questioning why any funds would be directed toward a regime known for its oppressive rule and ties to terrorism. This isn’t the first time concerns have been raised over U.S. aid inadvertently benefiting the Taliban—after the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal, reports suggested that billions in equipment, cash, and resources were left behind or fell into enemy hands.
Musk’s remarks have reignited debates about foreign aid, government spending, and the lack of oversight in international funding. With tensions high and taxpayers growing increasingly frustrated, the Biden administration may face renewed pressure to clarify where U.S. dollars are really going.
